Guj Govt extends quake expertise to affected states

Cuddalore (TN): Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi has extended full support of the Gujarat State Disaster Management Authority (GSDMA) to all the States that have been affected by the tremors and tidal waves following a massive earthquake in Indonesia killing hundreds.

The Chief Minister has faxed the offer to send expertise and search and rescue equipment available with the GSDMA to the Chief Ministers of Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and Orissa, an official of the CM office said.

Gujarat Government has also offered help to the Sri Lankan Government on account of the tidal wave that struck there in the morning, the official said.
