Seer case: Junior Seer Vijayendra questioned Sunday, December 26 2004 16:21 Hrs (IST) - World Time -

The junior Sankaracharya of Kanchi Mutt, Vijayendra Saraswathi, was questioned by the Special police team investigating the Sankararaman murder case, this afternoon (Dec 26, 2004).
After being questioned for nearly 75 minutes, Vijayendra Saraswathi left the special police team's office. He had to come again for questioning and the dates would be intimated to him later.
Mutt advocate, Thyagarajan, told newsmen that the junior Seer was questioned by the additional SP, Sakthivel and was permitted to leave, as other senior police officials were not available as they were busy with the rescue and relief works in the aftermath of the tremors that shook the State.
Asked whether the Seer met his brother Raghu, the advocate said he had met him for a brief while. Raghu was whisked away by the police from his residence in Chennai this morning.
