Advani asks BJP MLA's & MP's to donate salary

New Delhi: BJP (Bharatiya Janata Party) President L K Advani, who is on a visit to several Tsunami hit areas in southern India, today (Dec 27, 2004) instructed all party MPs and MLAs to contribute one month's salary towards the relief and rehabilitation of people affected by the natural calamity.

Party Vice-President Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi told sources that the party chief has also asked all BJP ruled States to provide "all possible" assistance to the affected people.

The party has about 200 members in both Houses of Parliament and over 1,000 legislators across the country.
