Indian students win Oracle's 'ThinkQuest award' Wednesday, December 29 2004 18:19 Hrs (IST) - World Time -

A website on Yoga created by a joint team of students from India and United States has been adjudged as the first place winner in the 19-and-under category of Oracle's global, educational website contest --ThinkQuest.
Ajinkya, Rahul and Sagar along with their coach Sangram Patil, all from Kalhapur, will join a group of outstanding students selected from all over the globe in three different categories, at ThinkQuest Live, an educational conference and awards event, scheduled to be held in the USA in 2005.
Oracle's ThinkQuest competition, which is held approximately twice every year, is open to teams across the globe.
"This time's winning websites reflect ThinkQuest's unique focus on collaborative, cross-cultural learning, featuring team members from nine countries -- Australia, Germany, India, Mexico, Netherlands, Pakistan, Singapore, the United Kingdom and the United States," an Oracle statement said.
The Indo-US winning team in the 19-and-under category -- won the ThinkQuest competition for their website "Yoga - The Ultimate Attainment".
Coached by Sangram Patil from India and Van Truong from the USA, the team, through their website, has sought to tackle misconceptions about yoga and provide an in-depth introduction to yoga and its scientific basis and its interpretation.
