SAARC summit in Dhaka postponed due to Tsunami

New Delhi: The three-day SAARC (South Asian Association for Regional Co-operation) summit in Dhaka from Jan 9, 2004 has been postponed in view of the devastation wrought by Tsunami in three member countries.

Spotlight: Tidal Waves hit South Asia

Official sources said no fresh date has been fixed for the summit.

They said Sri Lanka, one of the worst hit countries, and Maldives had expressed difficulty in participating in the summit at the moment.
