Madurai: Three persons were today (Jan 1, 2005) taken into custody for interrogation in connection with the murder of former DMK (Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam) Minister Aladi Aruna near his native place in Tirunelveli district yesterday (Dec 31, 2004).

Police today said that they have received 'vital clues about the gang members who had quarrelled with Aruna before the murder and also the motive for the killing'.

Four special teams have been formed to investigate the murder, police said.
