NE peace: Gogoi advises ULFA to follow the Nagas
Saturday, January 1 2005 17:26 Hrs (IST) - World Time -

Guwahati: Assam Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi was today (Jan 1, 2005) hopeful that the proscribed ULFA (United Liberation Front of Assam) would come to the negotiation table for settling the vexed problem.

Talking to reporters in Guwahati, Gogoi said that he was optimistic that the insurgent outfit realising the futility of its movement would come for the peace talks.

He urged the ULFA to take the cue from the NSCN-IM (National Socialist Council of Nagalim-Isaac-Muivah), which sat with the Government for dialogues.
