Bangalore: Ashok K Baweja, chairman, Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL), handed over a cheque of Rs 3.40 crore to Defence Minister Pranab Mukherjee on Jan 1 2005, as contribution to the Prime Minister's Relief Fund for the tsunami tragedy.

HAL made aircraft & helicopters, in service with the Armed forces, are already flying extensively to provide relief to the victims in all the affected areas. As a mark of solidarity with the entire nation, all employees of HAL and the management have made the contribution to the PM's Relief Fund.

HAL continues to serve the nation, both in war & peace, ensuring security and safety of citizens in all challenging circumstances.
