Zaheera doesn't turn up, Best Bakery case deferred

Mumbai: The Best Bakery case was today (Jan 6, 2005) deferred till January 10 as the prime witness Zaheera Sheikh did not turn up for recording evidence.

When the court assembled for the day, the prosecutor told designated Judge Abhay Thipsey that Zaheera is not well and would be unable to attend the proceedings.

With the mutual consent of prosecution and defence lawyers, the court adjourned the trial till January 10.

The special court is conducting re-trial into the Best Bakery carnage that occurred on March 1, 2002.
