Sonia satisfied with coalition Govt in K'taka: CM

Bangalore: Congress President Sonia Gandhi has expressed happiness over the performance of the first ever Congress-JDS (Janata Dal Secular) coalition Government in Karnataka, Chief Minister N Dharam Singh said today (Jan 7, 2005).

Singh who called on Gandhi in New Delhi two days ago briefed her on the programmes being implemented by the coalition Government.

He told a press conference in Bangalore that, he also discussed with Gandhi "some political issues".

Singh said had consultations with Gandhi's political secretary Ahmed Patel on appointment of new chiefs for various boards and corporations.

He said he plans to appoint person, as the State's representative in New Delhi to pursue State's pending project with the Centre.
