Pak ultra, 2 Army jawans killed in encounters in JK Saturday, January 8 2005 18:32 Hrs (IST) - World Time -

A Pakistani militant of Lashker-e-Toiba (LeT) outfit and two Army jawans were killed in separate encounters in Poonch, Doda and Pulwama districts of Jammu and Kashmir where security forces busted a militant hideout and recovered arms, official sources said today (Jan 8, 2005).
Army troops, on tip off, launched seek and destroy operation in remote area of Jhabi Dhoti in Poonch district this morning and in subsequent encounter killed an LeT militant of Pakistani origin identified as Khalid Chitrali, they said adding one AK-47 rifle with three magazines were recovered from him.
In Pulwama district, an Army jawan was killed in an on-going encounter between militants holed up inside a house and the troops in Imam Saheb village, 55 kms from Srinagar, a Defence spokesman said.
The casualties suffered by militants were, however, not known.
