Patna:
Incarcerated RJD (Rashtriya Janata Dal) MP Pappu Yadav today (Jan 8, 2005) landed himself in trouble once again with the Beur jail staff complaining that he had threatened them.
Jail sources said that a jailor Bhola Singh and a few other staff had sent a complaint to the prison department that Yadav threatened to eliminate them for disallowing him to meet the visitors.
''We have forwarded the complaint o the State home commissioner for probe and necessary action'', sources said.
Describing as ''extremely serious'' the complaint against Pappu Yadav who indulging in unlawful activities had drawn the wrath of the Apex court, sources said ''We have also
asked the Beur jail superintendent Dilip Kumar Singh to send his report immediately for taking legal action against the inmate.''
Incensed over widespread use of cell phones by jailed criminals to remain in touch with the outside world, the Supreme Court had on Tuesday called upon mobile service providers to install jamming devices in jails across the country.
CBI had in an affidavit on Tuesday favoured shifting of Yadav out of Bihar and suggested five jails in Tamil Nadu and Gujarat where Yadav be shifted and from where he could be tried through video conferencing.
The police had recently seized a cell phone from Pappu Yadav in course of raids on Beur jail which was conducted following the directive of the Patna High Court.
