'True' copy of the SC order yet to be received Monday, January 10 2005 14:32 Hrs (IST) - World Time -
Kancheepuram:
The Chief Judicial Magistrate's court at Chengalpattu near Kancheepuram is yet to receive a 'true' copy of the Supreme Court order, granting bail to Kanchi Seer Jayendra Saraswathi, arrested on November 11 last year in the Sankararaman murder case, court sources said.
Once the copy was received, several procedures would have to be gone through, as the Apex Court had directed the Seer to submit his passport, they said, adding that the conditions of the bail would have to be fulfilled before his release from Vellore prison, where he has been lodged since his arrest.
It is likely that the Seer may be released late this evening (Jan 10, 2005) or tomorrow morning (Jan 11, 2005), the sources said.
While there are rumours that the Seer might stay somewhere in the periphery of Kancheepuram district after his release, there was no official word of this from the Mutt.
