Kanchi Seer Jayendra Saraswathi performs pooja

Kalavai (TN): The Seer of Kanchi Mutt Jayendra Saraswathi today (Jan 11, 2005) resumed his traditional daily 'Chandramoulieswarer Pooja' at a school in Kalavai this evening amidst chanting of Vedas by pundits.

The Seer, who was released from the Central prison at Vellore and came to the school buildings, was received with the traditional 'poorna kumba' honours.

A large number of devotees thronged the school to participate in the pooja and to have a dharsan of the Seer.

The pooja, which lasted for over three hours was completed with the traditional 'Aarthi'.

Soon after his arrival at the premises, the Seer took a bath before starting the pooja.
