Kancheepuram: The junior Seer of Kanchi Mutt, Vijayendra Saraswathi's bail petition has been posted for hearing at the Sessions court of Chengalpattu on Jan 17.

He was arrested in the Sankararaman murder case on January 10 and remanded to judicial custody till Jan 24 by the Judicial Magistrate Court-I at Kancheepuram and was lodged in the Chennai Central prison later.
