Seer case: TN BJP chief, other protestors arrested

Chennai: The president of Tamil Nadu unit of the BJP (Bharatiya Janata Party), C P Radhakrishnan and 50 others were today (Jan 12, 2005) taken into custody in Chennai when they attempted to hold a demonstration, in support of Kanchi Seer Jayendra Saraswathi and condemning the arrest of the junior Acharya Vijayendra Saraswathi.

Police said that they were taken into custody for violating prohibitory orders.
