No poll duty to Govt employees inducted after Dec 1
Thursday, January 13 2005 15:31 Hrs (IST) - World Time -

New Delhi: The Election Commission today (Jan 13, 2005) directed authorities in Haryana not to put on election duty employees who have been inducted to Government service on or after December 1, 2004.

The order would cover constables, teachers and other officials recruited on or after December 1.

The moves comes in the wake of findings by an EC team that large-scale recruitment had taken place in the State, which is going to polls on February 3.

The Commission also ordered immediate transfer of Superintendent of Police of Panchkula and Ambala.
