Laloo accuses BJP of involvement in Godhra riots
Monday, January 17 2005 18:54 Hrs (IST) - World Time -

Patna: Railway Minister and RJD (Rashtriya Janata Dal) president Laloo Prasad today (Jan 17, 2005) charged the BJP (Bharatiya Janata Party) and Sangh Parivar with "involvement in the post-Godhra riots in Gujarat" and said his Ministry would take legal action against all those who had in any way tried to cover up the facts relating to the Godhra train blaze, including his predecessor Nitish Kumar.

"The report of the high-level committee that probed the Godhra train blaze which triggered riots in Gujarat in 2002 had proved beyond doubt that the BJP, Sangh Parivar and Narendra Modi Government are involved in the riots," Laloo told reporters while reacting to the findings of the committee headed by Justice U C Banerjee that probed the Godhra train blaze.
