LJP to withdraw candidates from 15 seats in Bihar

New Delhi: Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) today (Jan 19, 2005) announced the withdrawal of its candidates from 15 seats in Bihar in the Feb 3, 2005 first phase of Assembly elections where Congress has fielded candidates.

Party president Ram Vilas Paswan declared withdrawal of candidates following his talks with senior Congress leaders Arjun Singh, Ahmed Patel, Mohsina Kidwai, Harikesh Bahadur and M L Fotedar.

The LJP leader told reporters that talks for the second and third phase of elections in Bihar would take place later.
