Melbourne: Sania Mirza scored a convincing win over Petra Mandula of Hungary defeating her 6-2 6-1 in the second round of the women's singles at the Australian Open grand slam in Melbourne today (Jan 19, 2005).

She had defeated Australia's Cindy Watson 3-6 6-3 6-0 in the first round.
