Laloo snubs DPS students; prefers electioneering Friday, January 21 2005 17:53 Hrs (IST) - World Time -
Patna:
In despair after the kidnapping of their schoolmate Kislay Komal, who remains traceless for the third day today (Jan 21, 2005), students of Delhi Public School (DPS) in Patna today made frantic attempts to meet RJD (Rashtriya Janata Dal) president Laloo Prasad only to be cold shouldered by the leader who preferred electioneering to listening to their woes.
Around 25 DPS students assembled at the State hangar in Patna to meet the RJD boss were a disappointed lot as he chose to take off without paying any heed to their pleas to spare a few moments.
The students holding placards like 'Kislay ko riha karo' (release Kislay), 'Hamare dost ko bachao' (save our friend), later returned as Prasad's high profile brother-in-law and Rajya Sabha member Subhash Yadav assured that he would facilitate their meeting with the RJD leader at the Chief Minister's house in the evening.
Kislay, the son of a sales tax officer K K Gupta, was kidnapped by unidentified gunmen from Patel Nagar locality under Shastri Nagar police station in the State capital on Wednesday (Jan 19, 2005).
