Children slam RJD Govt, protest abduction of Kislay Saturday, January 22 2005 21:42 Hrs (IST) - World Time -
New Delhi:
Hundreds of children today staged a demonstration in front of Bihar Bhavan in New Delhi to protest the refusal of RJD (Rashtriya Janata Dal) chief Laloo Prasad to meet students in connection with kidnapping of a fellow DPS schoolmate.
The students chanted slogans against the RJD Government in Bihar for allegedly failing to secure the safe release of the kidnapped student and for deteriorating law and order situation in the State.
Initially, only students from DPS schools in the city were to take part in the demonstration, but the number of protesting students swelled as others joined them.
The demonstrators dispersed after Bihar Resident Commissioner C K Mishra assured them that their grievances would be conveyed to concerned authorities.
