Bomb threat to Patna-bound Rajdhani Express

New Delhi: The Patna-bound Rajdhani Express from New Delhi was today (Jan 23, 2005) stopped at Ghaziabad station following an anonymous telephone call that a bomb has been placed in the train.

The train had left New Delhi station at 17.15 hrs (IST) and soon after railway police received a call claiming that a bomb had been planted in it and would go off any time.

As the train reached Ghaziabad station, it was stopped, passengers off-loaded and a thorough search was carried out with the help of bomb-detection and disposal squad and sniffer dogs.
