Over 1700 public, private, convent and Government schools in Patna will be closed tomorrow (Jan 24, 2005) to press their demand for immediate release of kidnapped Delhi Public School (DPS) student Kislay Komal, who remained traceless for the fifth day today (Jan 23, 2005).
The call for closure of all public, convent and Government schools tomorrow in the State capital was given by Bihar Public School Association.
Association Chairman D K Singh told sources that the school students would 'gherao' Governor Buta Singh in support of their demand but the time would be decided after tomorrow's programme.
Kislay, a class XI student of DPS was kidnapped by unidentified criminals from Patel Nagar locality in the city on Wednesday when he was on his way to catch his school bus in the morning.
Meanwhile, a 'Patna bandh' has been called by the Akhil Bhartiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) on Tuesday (Jan 24, 2005) to put pressure on the Government.
The workers took out a silent procession today and gave a memorandum to the Governor demanding Kislay's immediate release.
Over 400 officers of Bihar State Finance Service Association are on an indefinite strike since yesterday to protest the delay in the rescue of Kislay, who is the son of the assistant commissioner of commercial taxes, K K Gupta.
Deputy police super Arshad Zama said 25 anti-socials have been detained for questioning in the kidnapping case and police have conducted raids in several places in and around Patna to trace the kidnapped boy.
Para-military force personnel staged a flag march here today to ensure the law and order situation and instil faith in the people, the police said.
