Moderate earthquake jolts North Andaman Island

New Delhi: An earthquake of moderate intensity measuring 5.0 on the Richter scale was recorded off the north coast of North Andaman Island, an India Meteorological Department release said.

The quake, which was felt at 00:08 hrs (IST) was epicentred at Latitude 14.4 degrees North and Longitude 92.0 East, the release added.
