S M Krishna's resignation from Assembly accepted

Bangalore: The resignation tendered by S M Krishna to the membership of the Karnataka Legislative Assembly has been accepted, it was announced today (Jan 24, 2005).

Assembly speaker Krishna making an announcement to this effect in the house said that the resignation of S M Krishna, who resigned his Chamarajpet Assembly seat, has been accepted with effect from December 4, 2004.

The former Chief Minister, S M Krishna, upon his elevation as Governor of Maharashtra, tendered resignation to this Assembly membership in December last year.
