Kancheepuram: Three more persons, already under detention in connection with the Sankararaman murder case, are to be detained under the Goondas Act, police said.

'Dil' Pandiyan, Arumugam and Senthilkumar are the three whose names are now before the district collector for his signature (for being detained under the Act), police said.

If cleared, the total number of persons detained under the Act would go up to 13.

Already, ten persons including Raghu, the younger brother of Vijayendra Saraswathi, had been detained under the Act.

'Dil' Pandiyan had already given a statement under Section 164 of CrPC, admitting to his role in the case. All the three had made 'proxy surrenders' in the murder case.
