TN Govt should allow law to take its course: RSS
Monday, January 24 2005 12:02 Hrs (IST) - World Time -

Chennai: Charging Tamil Nadu Government with allegedly showing vendetta against the Kanchi Seers in cases including the Sankararaman murder case, the RSS (Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh) today (Jan 24, 2005) said that the State Government should allow law to take its own course.

"In this whole thing (case against the Seers) there is alleged vendetta of the State Government. This is what we are opposing. Let the law take its own course," RSS leader Ram Madhav said.

Madhav, who had called on the Seer at Kalavai in Vellore district yesterday (Jan 23, 2005), was reacting to a question on what RSS thought about the case after one of the accused Ravi Subramaniam, a contractor, had turned approver.

The protests organised by the BJP (Bharatiya Janata Party) and the Vishwa Hindu Parishad had the full support of the RSS, he said.

He said that he had called on the Seer after his release on bail "basically out of respect".

Asked if the Seer had said anything, Madhav said that the Seer was still observing "moun vrat".
