AP Govt to hand over TDP MLA's killing case to CBI

Hyderabad: Andhra Pradesh Government today (Jan 25, 2005) decided to hand over to CBI the case of TDP (Telugu Desam Party) MLA Paritala Ravi murder by unidentified assailants in Anantapur district yesterday (Jan 24, 2005).

This was announced by Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhar Reddy after a cabinet meeting which met in Hyderabad to take stock of the law and order situation in the wake of widespread arson after killing and the State-wide bandh decided to hand over the case to CBI for probe.

Ravi was shot dead outside TDP office in Anantapur district yesterday alongwith another party activist and his gunman.
