Violence continues: 3 shot dead by naxals in AP Tuesday, January 25 2005 17:44 Hrs (IST) - World Time -

In continued naxal violence, three persons, including two political activists, were shot dead by CPI (Maoist) ultras in Andhra Pradesh, police said today (Jan 25, 2005).
A watchman of State Warehousing Corporation and a TRS (Telangana Rashtra Samithi) activist were shot dead by the ultras in Karimnagar district this morning, police said adding both the victims were earlier PWG (Peoples War Group) activists.
E Kistaiah (35), watchman of State Warehousing Corporation was gunned down by naxals of Huzurabad area at Chintapalli village, about 55 km from Hyderabad, police said.
Kistaiah, a dalam member of the then outlawed PWG in Maharashtra, had been employed as a watchman at the Corporation godown after his surrender to police some time ago.
In another incident, S Venkati (40) of TRS was shot dead by naxals of Jagityal area at Kancherla village in the district last night, as naxals suspected him to be a police informer.
Meanwhile, a report from Guntur said, a Congress activist P V Kotaiah (35) was shot dead by armed ultras at Pedagalapadu village last night.
Five armed naxals knocked at the door of his house and whisked away Kistaiah to the fields and shot him dead, police said.
According to district SP Jitender, the naxals killed Kistaiah as he was unable to meet their extortion demands.
