38 file nominations in Jharkhand polls; total at 62

Ranchi: Jharkhand Tourism Minister Joba Manjhi was among 38 candidates who filed their nominations yesterday (Jan 24, 2005) for the second phase of Assembly elections in the state scheduled on February 15.

With this, the total number of candidates filing their papers for the second phase of polls reached 62, election office sources said.

Joba Manjhi filed nomination for Manoharpur seat as did former Minister and JD-U (Janata Dal-United) leader Ramesh Singh Munda in Tamar.

January 27 is the last date for filing of nomination for the second phase while scrutiny would be made the next day.

January 31 is the last date for withdrawal of nominations.
