As many as 32,062 polling stations would be set up for the first phase of Assembly polls in Bihar, Jharkhand and Haryana on February 3.
While 13,878 polling stations would be in place for conducting elections in 64 of the 243 Assembly constituencies in Bihar, 5,346 polling booths would be functional for the 24 of the 81 seats in Jharkhand.
A total of 12,838 polling stations would be set up in Haryana where a one-day poll would be held.
Statistics released by the Election Commission showed that a total of 1,42,16,763 electors would exercise their franchise during the first phase of polling in Bihar and 54,47,535 voters would do so in Jharkhand.
A total of 1,27,36,067 voters in Haryana are eligible to cast their franchise.
As many as 826 candidates are in the fray for the 64 seats in Bihar and 402 candidates for the 24 seats in Jharkhand. A total of 983 would battle it out for the 90 member House in Haryana.
Sixty-eight women contestants would try their luck during the first phase of polling in Bihar and 13 women candidates in Jharkhand. A total of 60 women candidates have entered the fray for the Assembly polls in Haryana.
A total of 19,122 Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) would be used for the 62 seats in Bihar and 7,500 such machines in Jharkhand. Nearly 12,765 EVMs would be in position in Haryana.
