Uma Bharati set to hit campaign trail on January 28 Wednesday, January 26 2005 14:56 Hrs (IST) - World Time -
New Delhi:
Senior BJP (Bharatiya Janata Party) leader Uma Bharati is all set to hit the campaign trail in Bihar from January 28, her close aides said in New Delhi today (Jan 26, 2005).
Bharati, who was initially scheduled to launch her campaign in the State from January 23, had to postpone her programme after she was hospitalised here following chest pain and high blood pressure.
Interestingly, Bharati, who is BJP's answer to RJD (Rashtriya Janata Dal) Chief Laloo Prasad's antics, will not be using choppers hired by the party for the Assembly elections and would be travelling only by road in the State to "strike an instant chemistry with the grassroots", the sources said.
The former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister was visited by a doctor at her south Delhi residence and she is fine, they said.
The firebrand Sanyasin would be camping in the State for about two weeks besides spending a couple of days in Jharkhand.
