Its well-hatched conspiracy to defame RJD: Laloo
Thursday, January 27 2005 22:05 Hrs (IST) - World Time -

Patna: Seeing a conspiracy behind the spurt in cases of abduction in Bihar, RJD (Rashtriya Janata Dal) president Laloo Prasad today (Jan 27, 2005) accused the Opposition of 'playing dirty politics by stage-managing such incidents to defame the State Government.'

''There is a well-hatched conspiracy to defame us (the RJD) and our Government as Opposition is indulging in dirty politics by stage-managing abduction cases,'' he said reacting strongly to former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee's call for the release of abducted Delhi Public School student Kislay Komal.

''Kislay is not a son of Vajpayee only. Laloo-Rabri too have their children and Kislay is one among them. Where was Vajpayee when innocent children were being butchered and burnt alive during riots in Gujarat ?''

Bereft of any issue, the Opposition was making a sinister bid to sully the image of the Government by orchestrating kidnapping cases but the State Government is firm in its resolve to expose such design and recover the missing boys and bring the culprits to book, he said.

Making an impassioned appeal for the release of Kislay, Vajpayee in a NDA rally at Bhagalpur had called upon the people to bring down the RJD Government in Bihar accusing it of being insensitive to the security concerns of the people.

''I want Kislay back. I want my son back,'' the former Prime Minister had told the rally giving sufficient indication that the Opposition alliance would make State's worsening crime profile, particularly abduction of children, a major electoral plank in the February Assembly elections.
