Thursday, January 27 2005 19:20 Hrs (IST) - World Time -

Chennai: The Principal Sessions court today (Jan 27, 2005) fixed January 31 for delivering orders on bail applications filed by Kathiravan and Sundaresa Iyer, co-accused in the Radhakrishnan assault case.

Spotlight: Kanchi Jayendra Saraswathi's Arrest

Principal Sessions Judge P Murugesan reserved his orders after hearing arguments in favour of the applications and against them by counsel for the defence and prosecution.

The prosecution strongly objected to grant of bail to them on the ground that they had been booked under the Goondas Act and were not entitled to it.
