People of Bihar are fed up with RJD Govt: Advani Friday, January 28 2005 17:35 Hrs (IST) - World Time -
Bhurkunda (Jharkhand):
BJP (Bharatiya Janata Party) president L K Advani today (Jan 28, 2005) said that the Assembly polls in Bihar was crucial as the people were fed up with the RJD (Rashtriya Janata Dal) Government.
''The people of Bihar have been fed up with the RJD Government. So the elections there is very crucial'' Advani told newsmen in Bhurkunda.
Advani said the performance of the NDA (National Democratic Alliance) in Jharkhand was laudable and it was confident of retaining power.
Stating that the people of Haryana had already tasted the under-performance of the Congress and the National Lok Dal of Om Prakash Chautala, Advani said it was the turn of the BJP which could only give better governance to the State.
The former Deputy Prime Minister, who was in Bhurkunda to campaign in support of party candidate Loknath Mahto contesting from Barkagaon, termed the U C Banerjee report on Godhra as ''illegal'' and said it would not influence the polls.
''The Nanawati Commission was set up by the Supreme Court under the Enquiry Act while it was not the case with the Banerjee panel,'' he added.
