Kidnap case: Students send memorandum to Kalam Saturday, January 29 2005 15:13 Hrs (IST) - World Time -

Hundreds of school students today (Jan 29, 2005) took out a protest rally in Bhagalpur and sent a memorandum to President A P J Abdul Kalam for early release of Dipak Kumar, a class IX student of local DAV school who was kidnapped on Tuesday (Jan 25, 2005).
The students, both boys and girls, carrying placards, marched through the main streets of the town and handed over a memorandum addressed to President Kalam to district magistrate Mihir Kumar Singh demanding early release of their colleague.
In their memorandum to the President, the students sought his intervention for the early and safe recovery of Dipak, who was kidnapped from Karoribagh area of the Bhagalpur town on January 25.
Students from T N B University and Sundarwati Women College accompanied by teachers also joined the agitation and took out separate procession protesting abduction of the DAV school student.
The abduction of a DPS student Kislay Komal in Patna, Dipak Kumar in Bhagalpur and Ravikant alias Rocky in Biharsharif in the past 10 days has raised public outcry.
