Pity PM, sidelined from election campaign: Naidu Saturday, January 29 2005 10:16 Hrs (IST) - World Time -
Ranchi:
The former BJP (Bharatiya Janata Party) president Venkaiah Naidu yesterday (Jan 28, 2005) said that he felt "pity" for Prime Minister Manmohan Singh for being "sidelined" from election campaigning in the three states going for Assembly polls beginning on February 3.
"I feel pity for Prime Minister Manmohan Singh whom the UPA (United Progressive Alliance) has sidelined from the list of campaigners," Naidu said while addressing a party meeting in Ranchi ahead of the first phase elections slated for February 3.
Referring to the kidnapping of school children in neighbouring Bihar, Naidu said "God willing, the RJD (Rashtriya Janata Dal) dispensation in Bihar would come to an end after this elections."
Asking the partymen to make the people aware of the developmental works that the BJP-led Government had taken up in the four years, Naidu told them to work against the forces engaged in dividing social harmony.
