Aziz to meet Manmohan Singh in Dhaka on Feb 6 Sunday, January 30 2005 20:10 Hrs (IST) - World Time -
Islamabad:
The Composite Dialogue process, Baglihar hydro project and Indo-Iran gas pipeline would figure during Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's meeting with his Pakistani counterpart Shaukat Aziz on the sidelines of the 13th SAARC (South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation) summit in Dhaka on February 6, Pakistan's High Commissioner to Bangladesh Manzar Shafiq has said.
"In his meeting with Singh, the Composite Dialogue process would come up for review besides talks on the issue of Baglihar hydro project and the proposed Iran-Pakistan-India gas pipeline," Shafiq was quoted as saying by the official APP news agency from Dhaka today (Jan 30, 2005).
Asked whether there was a specific agenda for Aziz's meeting with his Indian counterpart, Shafiq said, "It is never restricted when two Prime Ministers meet."
Aziz, who reaches Dhaka on February 5 for the two-day summit, will meet leaders from other member states to discuss SAARC-related and bilateral matters, he said.
The Pakistan Prime Minister had met Manmohan Singh in New Delhi on November 24 during his visit in his capacity as the outgoing chairman of the seven-nation SAARC.
The summit, originally scheduled for January, was postponed following the tsunami that wreaked havoc in Southeast Asia, affecting three SAARC member countries.
