New Delhi: China has not made any formal proposal for being invited to the SAARC (South Asian Association for Regional Co-operation) Summit, External Affairs Minister K Natwar Singh said today (Jan 31, 2005).

"No formal proposal has been made," Singh told reporters in New Delhi.

The Minister pointed out that any such move would require changes in the SAARC Charter.
