Assam: 57 ultras of ULFA & other groups surrender

Guwahati: Fifty-seven militants belonging to ULFA (United Liberation front of Assam) and other extremists groups today (Jan 31, 2005) surrendered to the Army.

The militants surrendered at a simple function held in Rangiya before the General-Officer-Commanding (GOC) 21 Mountain Division Major General Y S Yadava.

The militants also surrendered arms and ammunition.
