Plea against Advani for disowning Babri demolition

Lucknow: A Shiv Sena activist today (Feb 2, 2005) filed a petition in the Lucknow bench of Allahabad High Court seeking punishment for all the accused in the Babri Masjid demolition case, including BJP (Bharatiya Janata Party) president L K Advani, for "disowning the act" and thereby "befooling the public".

Justice Shailendra Saxena posted the petition, which also impleads the Union of India, CBI and State of Uttar Pradesh as opposite parties, for hearing tomorrow (Feb 3, 2005).

The petitioner, Bharat Nath Shukla, sought a "thorough inquiry, proper trial and punishment to the accused persons for not carrying out the demolition, but for disowning their act befooling the public, telling a lie and misguiding the people in general".
