Age should be below 18 for juvenile justice: SC Wednesday, February 2 2005 12:24 Hrs (IST) - World Time -

In an important order concerning juveniles, the Supreme Court today (Feb 02, 2005) ruled that the age of an accused should be below 18 years when he is produced before a court for applicability of the Juvenile Justice Act.
The court said that if a boy commits an offence when he was below 18 years of age, but was produced in the court after he attained the age of 18 years, the JJ ACT would not be applicable.
