Goa Governor Jamir dismisses Parrikar Government

Panaji: In a high-tension political drama in Goa, the Goa Governor S C Jamir has dismissed the Manohar Parrikar Government.

The decision comes minutes after Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar won a no- confidence vote on the floor of the Assembly by a narrow margin of one vote.

Soon after the vote of confidence ended, the Opposition Congress legislators rushed to the Governor and sought his intervention to dismiss Parrikar Government.
