Friday, February 4 2005 12:30 Hrs (IST) - World Time -

Hajipur (Bihar): Chief Minister Rabri Devi today (Feb 04, 2005) filed her nomination for the Raghopur Assembly constituency in Bihar's Vaishali district.

Accompanied by her husband and RJD (Rashtriya Janata Dal) supremo Laloo Prasad, Rabri drove to the office of the Sadar sub-divisional officer-cum returning officer for Raghopur, Rajesh Kumar and submitted her papers.

Spotlight: Elections 2005

She is seeking a second term from the seat, which she won in the by-poll held in 2000 after Laloo Prasad vacated it following his election to the Rajya Sabha.

After filing her papers, Rabri Devi expressed confidence about her party's victory in the Assembly poll.

Raghopur will go to poll in the third and final phase in Bihar on February 23.

Raghopur is one among the six Assembly seats, which fall under the Hajipur Lok Sabha constituency held by Laloo's archrival and LJP (Lok Janshakti Party) president Ram Vilas Paswan.
