55 candidates file papers for last phase in Bihar Saturday, February 5 2005 17:41 Hrs (IST) - World Time -

Senior JD-U (Janata Dal-United) leader and Opposition leader in State Assembly Upendra Singh was among 55 who filed their papers on the last date of filing of nominations today (Feb 05, 2005) for the 93 Assembly constituencies going to polls in the third and final phase in Bihar on February 23.
State election office sources said, according information around 55 candidates filed their papers today.
Singh submitted his papers for Jandaha Assembly constituency in Vaishali district.
Total 460 candidates were reported to have earlier submitted their papers for the 93 constituencies.
The scrutiny of nominations will be done on February 7, while February 9 is the last date for withdrawal of candidature.
Ninety-three constituencies are spread over West Champaran, East Champaran, Gopalganj, Siwan, Saran, Vaishali, Muzaffarpur, Sitamarhi, Sheohar, Nalanda and Patna districts.
