School boy kidnapped by dacoits in Samastipur

Samastipur: Yet another schoolboy was today (Feb 6, 2005) kidnapped when armed dacoits raided a house of a retired principal at a village in Bihar's Samastipur district, police said.

Heavily-armed gunmen barged into the house of a retired principal of local school S Prasad at village Chakhabib under Musri Dharai police station and abducted his 12-year-old nephew, son of Vishnudeo Prasad, the police said.

The robbers looted cash and valuables worth over a lakh during their three-hour operation.

When contacted, police Superintendent Meghnath Ram said he had deputed a DSP-rank official to probe the case.
