Dehra Dun: The Centre yesterday (Feb 06, 2005) indicated it was willing to give more time to Jammu and Kashmir's separatist amalgam Hurriyat Conference to respond to its offer for dialogue.

Replying to questions on Kashmir, Home Minister Shivraj Patil told reporters that the Centre was in the process of dialogue with every section of the society like intellectuals, traders, industrialists and lawyers.

Asked whether the Centre would initiate a fresh dialogue with Hurriyat, he said, "Anybody who is willing to talk to us is welcome. If they feel they need more time, we will not object to it."
