SP K Premkumar, who is coordinating the investigations, clarified that the employees had only been asked to appear before the SIT and not summoned, as some reports suggested.

"Some employees have been asked to come to Kanchi sometime next week, not summoned, for interrogation into what they may know in this case," he told sources in Kancheepuram.
