India's NSA Narayanan gets Minister of State status

New Delhi: National Security Advisor (NSA) M K Narayanan has been given the status of Minister of State (MoS) at the Centre.

According to an official announcement in New Delhi last night (Feb 07, 2005), Narayanan's appointment as National Security Advisor has been approved by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet with effect from January 27.

During his tenure, he would have the status of Minister of State, it added.
